Itinerary
We’ll start our tour at 7:30 a.m. with a visit to Chinchero, the “City of the Rainbow,” where we’ll explore its Inca architecture, colonial church, and artisanal market. Then we’ll head to Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory with impressive circular terraces, and visit the Maras Salt Mines, a unique landscape with over 3,000 salt ponds used since pre-Hispanic times.
We’ll continue to Ollantaytambo, an Inca fortress with monumental terraces and stunning architecture. From here, we’ll board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, where we’ll stay in a comfortable hotel and prepare for the visit to Machu Picchu.
We’ll start early with a tourist bus ride along the Hiram Bingham route, enjoying breathtaking views of the Andes and high jungle. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, we’ll take a guided tour of its temples, terraces, palaces, and water fountains, uncovering the secrets of this wonder of the world.
After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore and take photos before heading back to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Ollantaytambo, followed by private transport back to Cusco.
On our final day, we’ll explore Cusco’s main attractions with a complete city tour. We’ll visit the Plaza de Armas, the imposing Cusco Cathedral, and the Temple of Coricancha, the most important religious center of the Inca Empire. Then we’ll head to the outskirts to explore the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore Cusco, shop, or enjoy local cuisine before your transfer to the airport for your return to Lima.
