This country offers endless opportunities to live its history within each region. Start your holiday in Lima, “the City of the Kings,” then travel to Paracas and be part of an expedition tour to the Ballestas Islands. After, take a flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, considered the shrouded land of Pre-Inca Civilization. Continue along the Andes and arrive in Cusco to enjoy the magnificent city of Incas, traveling by train through the Vilcanota mountain range until reaching “Machupicchu.”

Itinerary

At 03:00am, we will come to your hotel to pick you up and transfer you to the bus station, from here you will board and travel along the coast to Paracas (03hours). As soon we will arrive, a local representative will be a waiting for you. From here, you will be transferred to the port and take a boat journey to Ballestas Islands. On this tour, you will have an exceptional opportunity to embrace the scenery where you will see thousands of endemic and migratory birds and mammals. Also you will contemplate the enormous figure of “the candelabro” etched out into the hillside facing to the sea. Later you will return to the main land and take advantage of a short break.
At 10:45am, you will be ready to start your land tour to “the National reserve of Paracas”. In this special tour, you will be taken to one of the most driest and colourful contour which is contrasted by the stunning white sand beaches, high cliffs for you to be witnessed as well. Finally, you will return to the original starting point. In the afternoon, you will be boarding your bus to Nazca (04 hours). On the way there, there might be short stops according to our passengers’ needs. The trip continues to your last destination, Nazca. Upon your arrival our Expedition Travel Peru representative will welcome and transfer you to your arranged hotel.

At 07:00am, our local guide will be at your hotel to pick and transfer you to the local airdrome of Maria Reiche, located at 05km away from down town. Once here, you will watch an introductory video program about Nazca Lines. Then get onto the plane and overview the ancient prints made on the desert floor. Observe impressive figures like: a whale, an astronaut, a monkey, a spider, a condor, a tree, a hummingbird, a parrot, a dog, a pelican, and flamingo. In addition to these, hundreds of hundreds of lines running across the entire area which occupies about 500skm. Finally, you will be returned to the airdrome to have a short break to later visit the ancient subterranean channels of Cantalloc. Here you will have the opportunity to appreciate the site and be taken back in time getting to know about how the Nazcas built this artwork, 15,000 years ago approximately. Close by the ancient lines and figures of las Agujas, there is another breath-taking scenery “the complex site of Caxamarca or Paredonenes”. Here, you will take a look at the perfect engineering walls and towers that once used to be an Inca check point. After. You will be taken to your hotel where you will have some time to rest or enjoy the charm of Nazca. In the evening, our guide will come to your hotel to pick and transfer you to the bus station, once there you will board your bus towards Cusco (13 approx. hours). Keep in mind that your traveling by bus is arranged as a first class VIP service.

Upon your arrival, our representative from Expedition Travel Peru, will welcome and transfer you to your selected hotel. Part of the day is free so you can acclimatize the Andean mountain weather. If you desire you might walk through the town enjoying the stunning vistas of Inca narrowest streets, temple, palaces and few buildings from colonial time: the cathedral, the Jesuit company church, the temple of las Mercedes and the picturesque San Peter local market.

At 08:30am, our local guide will be ready to take you on a tour to the magic Sacred Valley for the day. Along the way there will be a few short stops to enjoy the panorama. Our tour takes place within an area surrounded by snow caped mountains, valleys, crop fields, Andean villages, and much more; which will satisfy any expectations. Later we will get into the complex site of Pisac to walk around its spectacular terraces, chambers, towers, drainage system, fountains, and temples with unique features. Afterwards we will visit the famous market of Pisac full of handcraft items. Here, you will have opportunity to take a look the colourful textiles with a special embroideries that represent local’s daily life. Next you will travel along the valley to Urubamba, where we will have our Andean buffet lunch. As soon as we depart, we will travel for 30 minutes to Ollantaytambo fortress. This archaeological site was not only the main royal state of Pachacutec “king 09th. But also it is considered unique for its gigantic Inca walls, chambers, terraces, etc”. Once we covered all the interesting areas, we will walk to the train station. From here, you will board your train to Aguas Calientes town (90’). Once here, our local agent will be a waiting for you to assist you and take you to your hotel.

At 05:30am, we will pick you up from your hotel, then we will board a bus up to Machupicchu sanctuary following the winding road of Hiram Bingham. Once we get there, we will start our guided through the site (02 hours approx.). This adventurous tour through the great Inca citadel involves, terraces, walls, temples, palaces, chambers, Inca’s garden, shrine sites like platforms, sacred rocks, industrial and residential areas, fountains, drainage systems, and many narrow passages. As the tour is completed, you may continue to enjoy the beauty of Machupicchu world wonder. Perhaps you challenge yourself on hiking to the Inca Bridge or to the sun gate, both offer splendid views. It is recommended that you take your bus at a convenient time in order to take your train return to Ollantaytambo. This is important because you may want to have time to look at around and have your lunch as you decide. Be at the train station 30 minutes before your train departs to Ollantaytmabo, once you arrive there, our local agent will be waiting for you to pick you up and take you back to your hotel in Cusco where ours services end.
