After breakfast, transfer to Lima airport for your approximately 1½-hour flight to Juliaca, one of Peru’s highest cities.

Upon arrival, our local representative will welcome you and begin the scenic journey toward Puno. Along the way, visit the remarkable Sillustani archaeological complex, home to imposing chullpas—ancient funerary towers built by pre-Inca cultures.

Set beside the peaceful waters of Lake Umayo, Sillustani offers a fascinating first encounter with the ancient civilizations of the Andean highlands, surrounded by spectacular landscapes.

Today, travel from Puno to Cusco along one of the most memorable routes through the Peruvian Andes.

After breakfast, transfer to the bus station and board the Route of the Sun, a scenic journey connecting the highlands of Lake Titicaca with the historic city of Cusco.

Along the way, make guided stops at important cultural and archaeological sites, including:

• Andahuaylillas Church, renowned for its extraordinary colonial art.
• Raqchi, home to the impressive remains of the Temple of Wiracocha.
• La Raya Pass, the highest point along the route, offering spectacular Andean mountain scenery.

An early start takes you toward the bus station  to short transfer along the winding road toward the entrance of the citadel.
