Exploring the Cahuachi Pyramid
This impressive adobe structure, with its stepped temples, corridors, ceremonial plazas, and colcas (storage rooms), reveals the sophisticated organization of the Nazca culture. As you walk through its ancient precincts, you’ll admire the architectural ingenuity of this civilization that flourished in the desert over a thousand years ago.
Very close to Cahuachi, you can also observe ancient cemeteries, sacred pathways, and sectors connected to the enigmatic archaeological complex of the Nazca Lines, offering a broader view of the ritual landscape of this ancestral culture.
Visit to the Antonini Museum
The experience continues with a visit to the Antonini Archaeological Museum, where valuable original artifacts found during local excavations are on display. Here you will see:
- Finely decorated ceramics
- Ceremonial vessels
- Textiles with intricate embroidery
- Mummies and trophy heads
