Walk through lush cloud forests teeming with exotic flora and fauna while uncovering the secrets of the Inca civilization. The highlight of your adventure? Entering the majestic Machu Picchu through the iconic Sun Gate (Inti Punku), just as the Incas did centuries ago.

Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore one of the world’s most fascinating archaeological wonders!

Itinerary

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up in Cusco. A scenic 1-hour 45-minute drive takes you to Ollantaytambo train station, where you’ll board a picturesque train ride to KM 104, the starting point of your hike.

Hiking Highlights:

Wiñay Wayna – A stunning archaeological site showcasing impressive terraces, temples, and waterfalls.

Delicious Boxed Lunch – Enjoy a well-prepared meal surrounded by nature.

Sun Gate (Inti Punku) – Witness the first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu, a prime spot for those iconic photos.

Descent to Machu Picchu – Take a short hike down for another unique perspective of the citadel.

After an awe-inspiring first glimpse of Machu Picchu, we’ll take a bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll check into a comfortable hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner before resting for the big day ahead.

Start your day before crowded people come to your favourite Machu Picchu. A short 30-minute bus ride will take you up the winding road to the entrance, where your expert guide will lead you through the mysteries of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Guided Tour Highlights:

Temple of the Sun – A sacred site aligned with the solstices.

The Royal Quarters – Once home to Inca royalty.

Three-Windowed Temple – A masterpiece of Inca architecture.

Sacred Plaza & Intihuatana (Sundial) – The spiritual and astronomical heart of Machu Picchu.

Temple of the Condor – A unique rock formation shaped like a condor in flight.

After the guided tour, enjoy some free time to explore. For a different perspective, take a short hike to the Inca Bridge, an ancient secret pathway with stunning views.

By midday, we’ll take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you can relax and have lunch before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, our private transport will transfer you back to Cusco, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
