How to send money at an Agent.
What you need?
Your receiver location, identification and cash.

1. Visit a Western Union Agent Location.
• Use our online Agent locator to find a location near you
2. Complete Form.
• Name of person you are sending money to.
• Amount.
• City and country where money will be pick up.
3. Present ID and payment to the Agent Clerk:
• Your complete form
• Your government-issued ID (Where Applicable).
• Payment including fees.
4. Collect Receipt
• Save your receipt with the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
• Some countries require the Receiver to provide the MTCN from your receipt to pick up the money. To see if the country you are sending money to requires the MTCN, please select that country from the dropdown at the top of this page.
5. Receiver Picks Up Money
• Funds may be picked up at any Western Union Agent location in the city and country you selected.
• On this website you can check the Transfer Status using the MTCN.

Send money - five easy steps
Review the simple steps below, to learn how to send money

Step 1: Estimate the cost to transfer money/

Step 2: Find a MoneyGram agent with our locator/

Step 3: Visit your local MoneyGram agent and Bring one or more forms of government issued identification such as:/

• Passport
• Driver's license
• National identity card
• Government issued ID

Step 4: Complete a simple money transfer form

• Hand the completed form to your MoneyGram agent along with the money you want to send, plus fees
• You'll receive a receipt and reference number for the transaction
• Save both for your records and share with the person receiving the money transfer.

Step 5: Contact the person receiving your money transfer

• Let the person to whom you are sending money know the transfer has been sent and provide the Reference Number.

Important: Your name on the transfer record must exactly match your name as it appears on your ID. If they do not match you be delayed or unable to pick up your funds.
