Day one: Puno – Uros – Amantani
At 06:30am, our guide will be at your hotel to pick and take you on this tour to Titicaca lake. At the port you will be joined by other participants who will accompany you in this adventure. Soon after, we will depart towards Uros island. Once here, you will be guided for 01hour and half, plenty of time to get around. In this island you will also be invited to visit locals´ homes so you can understand better the life on the island. Once we finished, we will board our boat in order to head to Amantani island (03 hours). At this point, the local families will be waiting to welcome and take us into their home to share their fantastic anecdotes. Here, we will have our typical lunch as we enjoy the scenic vista.
In the afternoon, we will hike to the highest point of this island, to an altitude of 4,200MASL, (known as Pachamama – mother earth). From this point, you will have a splendid view of the surroundings. In the evening, after having our dinner the families will take us to the local Andean showground where a concert will be offered by local artists on typical and colourful dresses.
Day 02: Amantani – Taquile – Puno .
At 07:30am, we will have our delicious breakfast, then we will be accompanied by our family to the port. As we say good bye to the families at this point, it will be a perfect opportunity to thank them for such lovely experience: at last, pictures that frame your everlasting memories can also be taken at this point. Once we board our boat, we will travel to Taquile (50’) and from this point we will start hiking to the main village. Once here you will have time to explore and admire its local Andean market on your own. As this market has been named a “world heritage site” you could take the time to pick that special souvenir. After we all gather in one place, we will head to the local restaurant for lunch. Finally, we will go on a pre-Inca path, almost 500 steps all the way to the port and from here we will head back to Puno. Upon your arrival our local representative will wait for you in order to take you back to your hotel. .
