Day 01: Puno – Copacabana - Sun islands

At 06:30am, we will pick and take you to the bus station from where you will be boarding a bus (7:00am). After three hours driving, you will get the border of Peru and Bolivia (Kasani). At this point, everyone who is going into Bolivia or Peru must present the original personal documents. Once you finished with the paper work required, you will then return to your bus, which will arrive to Copacabana town after 15 minutes. Here, our representative will be waiting for you in order to take you to the main departure point. Soon after, we will be boarding our boat towards the Sun island (90´). Once we arrived there, we will start trekking to the temple of the Inka king “Pikoikaina”. After, we will continue along the stairs to Yumani and then we will get to a majestic fountain named “forever young”. As the afternoon is falling, we will get to enjoy the magnificence of the sunset.

Day 02: Sun Island – Moon Island

After breakfast, we will start exploring around. We will board our boat and then head to Challapampa in order to appreciate ¨the chincana¨ (an Inca hidden pathway). Once we explore the area, we will be traveling by boat to the moon island where we will visit the amazing archaeological site of “inak Uyo”. It is believed, that this was not only a sacred site to worship the moon, but also a place where the chosen ladies of the sun resided. Later in the afternoon, we will get back to our boat and head back to the sun island in order to enjoy dinner and admire the whole scenery.

Day 03: Sun Island – Copacabana – Puno

At coordinated time, we will depart for Copacabana and once here you can take time to explore its charming streets, the cathedral, or hike to the Calvary Mountain. If you decide to hike to the Calvary Mountain you will be rewarded with a wonderful vista, far in the distance part of the sun and moon islands. Once you finish exploring around, keep in mind that you need to be at the bus station at a convened time so you can board the bus to Puno (three hours). Upon your arrival, you will be picked and transferred to your hotel where our services end.
