Description
At 06:30am, you will be picked from your hotel and transfer to the main departure point where you will be joined by other members. Immediately after we initiate our tour on the of Titicaca lake, we will start exploring the floating island of “Uros”. The islanders in this area have been living here for thousands years. Thanks to their organization and hard work, these islanders have survived for a long period of time. Our local guide, will be able take you to within the traditional homes built from bamboo canes which grow on shallow areas of the lake. Later on, we will head straight away to Taquile Island in order to explore a little further and learn some more about people and their traditions. After, we will hike for 50 minutes until the main plaza. Once here, we will visit the local hand craft market declared as “world heritage” due to its unique characteristics; the feature of the colourful items with impressive designs representing daily life. Later, we will head to a local restaurant which offers delicious typical food. After enjoying this, we will return along the Pre-Inca path to the port and finally board our transportation back to the main departure point and then to your hotel in Puno.
