The wonder of Palpa lines are located 500km on the southern way from Lima. In this flat area, the ancient Paracas culture developed with extraordinary inspiration. The designs are perfectly etched onto the desert representing amazing animals, plants, and human figures, all which might be the representation of locals’ Gods. It is believe that these symbols have remained there for thousands of years, this representations are visible from a natural look out point. Description
At coordinated time our local guide and private transport will pick you up from your hotel so we can start the tour through land towards the tower of Palpa lines in order to observe seven figures on hillside. Then we continue to our next destination (The petroglyphs of). Along the way you will see plantations of orange and other crops. Once we arrive to the petroglyphs of Chichitara, we will hike up and down to see carvings on rocks of fox, Andean camels, and snakes, being the double head snake one of most stunning figures. Later in this tour, we will ascend to the highest site and from here you will embrace the perfect scenery of Palpa Valley. Finally, as we descend we will have the opportunity to observe more carved rocks and specially a kind of cactus unique for its production of a distinctive fruit. Come and enjoy this tour that will immerse you into the world of ancient Paracas and Nazca civilization known for its tremendous acknowledgment to mother earth´s generosity through rituals.
