An incredible story remains in the Peruvian desert, just 20km North of Nazca. Hidden in a plain between two valleys, you will find an assortment of massive ancient images etched into the earth. The lines were made by brushing away the reddish pebbles composing the deserts surface, resulting in an image called a geoglyph. Created 1500 years ago by the Nazca civilization, the desert climate has allowed for remarkable preservation of the figures that can only be appreciated from the sky. A flight offers a spectacular opportunity to see 12 of the most famous Nazca lines, and a chance to marvel at the ever-changing desert landscape from above.

The whole lines and figures were in order to plant and harvest different crops that used to be their main local industry. In many cases the lines connects low hills and the highest mountains. Fragments of Nazca pottery were found at different hills and mountains, Maria believed that there are many lines that connects between the main area of Nasca lines and the highest sand dune in the world of Cerro Blanco. In fact local people have strong believed in natural gods alike mountains, moon and stars, who protects their life and produces their field. Other theory why and how the lines and figures were drawn by the ancient Nasca include the shamanic flight. Endless questions remain why and how the lines were drawn when all these can be seen from the air. Tony Morrison an English documentary maker hypothesized the lines were sacred path ways that connects with hills, mountain, and water fountains. The anthropologist Johann Reinhard believed the lines were involved in mountain worship and a fertility/ water cult.
