29 km southwest away from the town of Nazca is located the major sacred temple of Cahuachi. This amazing site hosts a unique pinnacle as old as fifteen hundred years. This magnificent structure can only be seen after thirty years of permanent work and current studies support that this site was built at the same time as Nazca Lines. It is believed also that this sacred site was connected with Nazca Lines as locals used to celebrate and sing to their mountain gods and other idols. Locals had to walk into the lines worshiping, leaving here offerings in order to please gods and be blessed by these.

At the time of your preference, we will start this tour through land to the Cahuachi pyramid. Once we arrive, we will be able to see the wide and narrow passages, enormous ramps, and the different sizes of walls that enclosure the whole sacred site. Nearby, we will observe an ancient cemetery, which unfortunately have been looted by inconsiderate muggers or huaqueros who were only were interested on getting the colourful textiles, ceramics, and some other domestic utensils with the purpose to sell them. In this tour, we will also wonder around in order o observe the total dimension of this site. Another important sight in the distance can be appreciated, the highest dune of world “Cerro Blanco”, which used to be the guard of the society and the valley years ago. Finally, from here we will go back to the town so we can visit the museum of Antonine. Here numbers of objects that belonged to Cahuachi site are displayed for you to appreciate where each object was found. From here we go back to your hotel.
