Start your trip at 3,399MASL to then ascend to the summit of 4,900MASL and later descend to 2700MASL finding yourself in Ollantaytambo. Here, you will board your train to enter to the narrowest canyon of Vilcanota mountain range and observe how quickly the landscape changes. Later on, you will arrive to the town of Aguas Calientes. Here, you will be able to explore its surroundings, enjoy the hot spring, go the local museum, or walk to water fall of Mandor. Day 01: Cuzco – Machupicchu town
10:00 hrs we will come to your hotel to pick you up and travel along the Andes to Ollantaytambo, from here you will board the Expedition train to ride to Machupicchu town. The rest of the day is free you can wonder around this particular town that lies at high jungle. As soon you arrive to the train station our local agent will look for you and take to your indicated hotel. Here you will received detailed information to the following activities. The rest of the day is free you can take a short tramp to the hot spring either to the museum or Huandor waterfall.
Day 02: Machupicchu – Cuzco
06:00 hrs we will come to your hotel to pick you up and go to the bus station to catch it, this will take us along the windy road of Hiram Bingham for thirty minutes toward Machupicchu. Now is time to get started to visit the agricultural terraces, the residential area where you will be able to appreciate the temple of the sun, the Inca room, the three window temple, and the shrine site of Inti Huatana, the sacred rock, the industrial area and the temple of Condor. From here on you have time to keep exploring the site. We strongly recommend you to catch your bus down to Aguas Calientes. It is a priority that you must be thirty minutes before your train leaves. Once you board the train you will arrive to Ollantaytambo, here our representative will a wait for you to transfer to your hotel in Cuzco.
