At a set time we will come to your hotel, then we will board our bus (01:45’) to Ollantaytambo train station. From here, you will board your train (01:20’) to the station km104 where we will begin to hike on an original Inca trail. On the way we will visit the site of Wiñayhuayna, a singular complex site that will go beyond your expectations, where you will also enjoy a delicious lunch. As we move towards Machupicchu, we will have a short stop at the sun gate (intipunko), a m perfect place to embrace the stunning citadel of Machupicchu and take a perhaps a good opportunity to take “the picture” that everyone wants. Soon after we will hike for 45 minutes to the main complex site, here we will have perfect opportunity to take some more photos. Then we will leave the place and catch our bus down to the Aguas Calientes town where you will have the overnight at your hotel.
At 05:30, we will pick up from your hotel. Soon after we will board our bus (30 minutes) to Machupicchu, following the winding road of Hiram Bingham. Once we arrived, we will start our tour along the most fascinating sites; such us: the agricultural terraces, temple of the sun, room of the Inca, three window temple, sundial site, sacred rock, industrial area, and temple of the condor. Later you will have free time to explore around on your own. If you are looking for different vistas, you could try another short hike to the Inca bridge which will offer you other plenty of astonishing scenarios. It is important that you to catch your bus at a suitable time, so you can have enough time at the town and enjoy your lunch. You must be 30 minutes before your train departs to Ollantaytambo (90’), here an Expedition Travel Peru representative will wait for your and transfer to your hotel in Cusco (02hrs) where our services end.
