At 09:30am, we will pick you up from your hotel to start appreciating the magnificence of its richest volcanic sillar rock on the white wall. Our first point of interest is the main plaza surrounded by spectacular arches, buildings that offer perfect terraces to observe the gigantic volcanoes that lies at the background of the city as the main guardians. Later on, we will visit the Andean sanctuary museum that displays a well preserved mommy called as “Juanita mummy”. Found at the Ampato Mountain in 1995, by the famous archaeologist Johan Reinhard. Next we will visit the main cathedral of Arequipa, this is indeed one of the most remarkable architecture due to its awe- inspiring neorenacentist and gotic influence built in XVII century, in its interior you will be amazed by an incredible collection of paintings and many other important items. Not far from here, “the monastery of Santa Catalina” is basically a city whithin itself, which was inhabited for about 300 years by the nuns. Once we finish, we will return to our transport to head straight a way to the natural look out point of el Carmen, this is a perfect spot to observe the beautiful panorama of Arequipa city and the gigantic volcanoes. From here, we will return to your hotel where our services end.
