At a coordinated time, we will come to your hotel to take you on a tour through this cosmopolitan city. Whilst we will explore around, we will pass by the justice palace, the square of San Martin, the major square and at its amazing cathedral, the government palace, and the boulevard of Chabuca Granda. This tour also includes a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, where we will appreciate stunning paintings from XVII, XVIII centuries and the relatively daunting catacombs. In this place you can also wander in the ancient library as well as observe many remaining items used by the Dominicans. Once we finish, we will visit China Town, where the Chinese Peruvians still maintain their traditions. Our local guide will facilitate the tour with reliable information to enrich your experience. We will then head to the Larco museum, where it is displayed an important collection of artefacts gathered by Rafael Larco (pioneer of Peruvian archaeology). This impressive collection (made from clay, stone, and wood) displayed in different rooms will help you understand our ancient history chronologically. Specially the room of textiles, which offers a sample of high development of creativity from our weavers, knitters and embroiderers using cotton, alpaca, and vicuña fibre as main source. This interesting tour will help experience years of history in the present time.
