Description
At 03:40hrs, we will pick you up from your hotel, then we will drive for 02 1/2 along the south valley until Pitumarca Andean district 3,570MASL. From here we will ascend for one hour along the winding dirt road until the community of Hanchipacha; Here we will have our delicious breakfast. Once we finish we will board our bus, and it will take us for about 15 minutes to an Andean village of Qayrahuire. Around at 08:00hrs, we will start hiking for about 02 hours to the magnificent Rainbow Mountain, once we are half way through we will stop to stare up the vast flat area filled with bush and grass plantations, which are essential to feed the herds of llamas and alpacas. As soon as we arrive to the summit of the Rainbow Mountain (5,030MASL), unbelievable vistas will take you aback. The snow-capped mountains, the colourful contours, streams, lagoons, the traditional huts, it will not only surprise you, but also wonder if how such combination exists. Far in the distance, you will also appreciate the snow-capped mountain of Ausangate (6,372MASL), considered the highest mountain in the region of Cusco”. Finally after having enjoyed the gorgeous scenarios, we will descend along the downhill for about two hours to a the community of Hanchipacha, here we will have our well-deserved lunch and hot drinks, perhaps while we share amazing anecdotes. Very soon after we will board our bus to head straight back to your hotel in Cusco where our services end.
